Add a note to a recipe or meal plan
Move over, ratty old printouts salad dressing stains! You can add a private or public note to any recipe or meal plan. You can add one note per plan or recipe. Private notes are great for keeping track of things like who in your family liked the recipe or tweaks you want to try next time you make it. Public notes are awesome for letting other Dirties know your tried-and-true substitutes or tips.
Public notes are reviewed for compliance with our community guidelines before they’re visible to all members. If a public note doesn't meet community guidelines, it automatically becomes private and only the member who wrote it can see it.
Viewing notes
To view and add notes on a meal plan, navigate to the Notes tab. When viewing an individual recipe, the Notes icon (which looks like a sticky note) is below the description, near the servings selector.
A little orange number beside the icon displays how many notes a plan or recipe has. To view public notes, toggle the "Show public notes" switch.
Adding notes
Once you've tapped the Notes icon, a text box will appear where you can add your own. Just type it in and tap Save Note. From there, you can choose whether you want your note to be public or private.
If you've already added a note to the recipe you're viewing, tapping the Notes icon will show it. You can edit the note, which includes the option to switch it to public or private, or delete the note.
